Lt. Col. (Ret.) Junior Ortiz is a retired U.S. Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel, veteran of four wars, and former Acting Assistant Secretary of Labor for Veterans' Employment. With more than 40 years of leadership experience across the military, government, corporate, nonprofit, and higher education sectors, he has dedicated his career to advancing veteran employment, leadership development, and community impact.

Throughout his career, Mr. Ortiz has held senior executive roles in government and the private sector, leading initiatives in public policy, workforce development, strategic partnerships, marketing, and organizational leadership. As Acting Assistant Secretary of Labor for Veterans' Employment, he served as the principal advisor on national policies supporting veterans' employment, training, and transition, with a focus on expanding opportunities for underserved veteran populations.

A respected educator and community leader, Mr. Ortiz has taught leadership at Southern Methodist University and continues to serve on numerous corporate, nonprofit, and veteran organization boards. He remains committed to strengthening organizations, developing leaders, and improving opportunities for veterans and their families.
