What Our Attendees Are Saying

As someone who has personally experienced career changes from the military to professional athletics to the corporate world, I have seen first hand the positive impact that 3PT workshops has on veterans. In a process that can feel overwhelming, they provide the wisdom and tools to make that change seamless and efficient.

Having attended 3PT’s workshop at AT&t Stadium this year has proven to be an event that has the potential to be a life changer. The veteran and first responder communities have been positively impacted simply by attending. The teaching is first class, and the connections can be life long. The only reason I say potential is because you need to attend to benefit. Looking forward to attending the next workshop.

As a person who works with Employers to hire Veterans I have found 3PT events to be monumental in providing Employer information on all the benefits of Veteran hiring and retention. Sal invites top tier Employers to his hiring events which has benefited the Veteran community greatly. His ability to navigate within the Veteran network knows no limits.
As a Veteran & Veteran spouse I highly recommend Sal & 3PT.

Earlier this year, I attended the #SaluteToService Career Development Workshop at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium, an educative, guiding and motivational workshop to support our Service members and Athletes transition back to the civilian life.
It was an amazing experience with guests speakers sharing their stories and opening up about their vulnerable time and how they pushed through to become successful.
As a veteran myself, I wished I had this kind of workshop available to me when I separated from the US Navy in 2016. It was a difficult time for me, I had to learn to re-adjust to civilian life, re-learn a language to fit in with non-military lifestyle and I had to be humble and accept that I may have to go through a whole new learning curve before I could be successful.
3PT – Three Pillars of Transformation hosted an amazing event to give back to the military men and women , as well as our professional athletes who are more often misunderstood about their career. But, 3PT is not only about support, they go above and beyond by offering professional headshots, writing resume advice and job interview live practice. To top off the event, they hold a networking hour after the event to allow you to explore your future career directly with hiring personnel.
I cannot say enough about this event, it is an amazing event, led by people who cares about your success and your wellness. I truly recommend attending their event, whether you are there to network or trying to get back to the civilian life or seeking help with your wellness.
I had the pleasure to meet Salvador D. Vergara, Jr. , Founder of 3PT Pillars of Transformation, whom you must hear his story in person to understand the why behind this organization!
Thank you Sal and 3PT for the amazing event!

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Sal Vergara across impactful collaborations with Merging Vets and Players and the Dallas Cowboys. Sal brings heart, vision, and action to every effort—especially when it comes to supporting veterans, their families, and building stronger communities. He’s a connector, a creative problem-solver, and a true partner in service. If you’re looking for someone who leads with integrity and delivers meaningful impact, Sal is that person.

I know firsthand how overwhelming and uncertain the transition out of service can feel. The workshops provide not just guidance, but a real sense of empowerment and direction. I’m genuinely excited to see how much of an impact 3PT will have on families like mine, families who at the time are seeking clarity, confidence, and connection during one of life’s biggest changes.

3PT is an incredible program that is specifically designed to support those who have served to get to the next phase of their lives, and I have seen first hand the value it delivers. I would have paid to have something like this when I was transitioning into the public sector. But none of that happens without a strong visionary at the helm, and Sal is relentlessly focused on bringing out the best in others. He has a level of energy and enthusiasm that is infectious; it is a true privilege to get to work with him–because he will make you better

Case Study

When I came across the 3PT Workshop, I had just been laid off. I was in a tough spot, trying to figure out what was next. After leaving the Marine Corps, the transition into civilian life wasn’t easy. It took nearly three years of trying different roles before I finally found something that felt right.
I saw a post from Charles Bischoff about the event and his work with NextOp, a nonprofit that helps veterans find meaningful careers. At first, I wasn’t sure if it was for me. I had never been to a hiring event or workshop before. But when I saw it was being held at AT&T Stadium and as a Cowboys fan, I thought at the very least it’d be a cool experience.
The website said resumes weren’t required, but I printed six copies anyway. I figured I had nothing to lose. The day started off strong with inspiring keynote speakers from different industries. Former Cowboys players shared stories that hit home. Then came Jim D’Amico. I didn’t realize it at the time, but Jim is the Vice President of Talent Acquisition at Caliber Collision, a company I had actually used before when I needed work done on my own vehicle.
After his panel wrapped up, we had a short break. I remember thinking, why not. I walked straight up to him, shook his hand, and handed him my resume. I didn’t have a practiced pitch, didn’t say anything fancy, just spoke from the heart. I barely remember what I said, but it must have landed. During the next break, he came up to me and asked what I was doing that Monday. I laughed and said, wherever you need me to be.
He set up an in-person interview with his team that same day. A few weeks later, I officially joined Caliber Collision as a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner.
That one decision to show up and take a shot changed the trajectory of my career. A huge thank you to Sal and the entire 3PT team for putting on such a powerful event for Veterans. You created the space, the energy, and the opportunity, and I’m truly grateful for it.
